Best Wedding Reception Ever!

What would be the best comment a guest could give you about your wedding reception?

Why aim middle of the road with comments like  “The food was good” or “It looks beautiful” or “We had a good time”? I like to shoot for the stars. So, the comment I want brides to hear about their reception is…. it was “The Best Wedding Reception Ever!”

Every time I get a comment card or a survey back I look for that quote. I want brides to tell me that is what they heard from their guests. Many, many times it is there and I am so proud of that.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of personally performing at two wedding receptions.

Friday night was Christy and Chris at Receptions North in Fairfield. We had a great time. The reception was filled with creativity, it flowed well, we had a great dance floor literally up until it was time to go. People even pleaded for one more song. Chris is a firefighter and those guys know how to have a great time. It was one awesome reception. Christy and Chris were thrilled. We talked afterwards and they thanked me beyond what was expected. Wednesday in the mail I got this from Christy’s parents and it made me feel like a million bucks. Notice what phrase was in there?

Chris and Christy thank you for letting me be part of your celebration. I had so much fun with your guests and with you two.

Both Friday and Saturday I worked with Lifetime Video. I can’t wait to see the footage! More to come about Saturday’s reception!

PS. I can’t take credit for the title of this post. A Friend of mine Peter Merry wrote a book called “The Best Wedding Reception Ever” check it out here.
